Terms of service

DrinkCipher provides recipe, costing, batching, collaboration and AI tools. Keep your account details secure and provide accurate information needed for your account and purchases. You must have authority to enter this agreement or appropriate permission where required by law.

You retain rights in your content and give us the permissions needed to store, process, display and share it as you request. Only upload or share material you are entitled to use. Do not misuse the service, access other accounts, bypass credit or group limits, or interfere with its security.

AI responses and calculations can be incomplete or incorrect. Check recipes, measures, costs, allergens and safety information before relying on them. You remain responsible for applicable alcohol, age, licensing and food-safety requirements. DrinkCipher does not sell alcohol.

Free includes 50 monthly AI credits and one owned group with up to 5 total members. Plus includes 200 monthly AI credits and up to 10 total group members. Pro includes 500 monthly AI credits and up to 25 total group members. Each plan allows one owned group. The group owner counts towards the limit. Manual tools and joining a group remain free; each member uses their own AI allowance.

Monthly allowances reset at the start of each calendar month in UTC and do not roll over. This reset is separate from your store subscription renewal date. A plan change applies the current month’s allowance while preserving usage already incurred that month.

If a downgrade leaves a group above its limit, existing data and membership are retained, but further additions are restricted until the group meets the owner’s limit. Transferring ownership depends on the new owner’s available group capacity.

The UK monthly prices are £4.99 for Plus and £9.99 for Pro. Your store displays the actual local price, applicable tax information and billing period before purchase. Availability and regional prices may differ. No trial or annual subscription is included unless expressly offered at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the store before the next billing date in accordance with its instructions. Cancellation normally leaves access until the paid period ends; refunds, revocations or billing problems can change access according to verified store status. Deleting DrinkCipher or your account does not cancel a subscription.

You can manage a subscription through the app’s management link or your Apple or Google subscription settings. Price changes follow the store’s notice and consent procedures and applicable law.

AI chat, research and image generation are available to all tiers when enabled and when sufficient credits and service capacity are available. One credit represents USD 0.01 of measured AI usage valued using our configured published paid provider rates. Credits are service units, not money, and do not represent a fixed number of messages or images.

Usage can include input, output and other billed processing tokens, search queries and image output. The completed request’s total charge is rounded up to 0.01 credit. Different tasks can cost different amounts; provider discounts or free pools are not individually allocated to your balance.

You need the applicable minimum balance before starting a task. We reserve credits before sending work to the provider, and a calculated reservation may exceed the entry minimum. Complete usage determines the final charge and unused reservations are released. A failed response can still incur a charge if the provider reports billable usage. Unknown outcomes remain pending until reconciled; retry protection helps prevent duplicate processing.

You can buy 100 extra credits for £2.99 or 300 for £7.99 at UK prices. Your store’s local checkout price controls the purchase. Packs are one-off purchases and do not renew automatically.

Monthly credits are used first. Purchased credits do not expire or reset monthly and belong to the signed-in DrinkCipher account across its devices. They do not increase your group size or change your subscription tier. They cannot be transferred between accounts or redeemed for cash, except where a refund or other remedy is required by law.

Shared service capacity, provider outages, security controls or spending limits can temporarily restrict AI even with credits remaining. Your unused balance is retained during temporary restrictions. If we withdraw a paid service, we will address unused paid benefits and any remedies required by law rather than treating those rights as forfeited.

Sign in to the correct DrinkCipher account before buying. Benefits are granted after server verification, which can be delayed. If payment succeeds but your balance or plan does not update, refresh and contact support before buying again.

Use Restore Purchases to check eligible store subscriptions associated with the original DrinkCipher account. Consumable credits are recorded in that account’s ledger; the store’s restore command alone does not recreate spent or missing consumable purchases. Signing into a different account does not transfer them. Group membership does not share a personal subscription or credit balance.

For an Apple purchase, use Apple’s Report a Problem service; for a Google Play purchase, use Google Play’s refund process. You can also contact hello@mirrorshades.studio with your account and order reference. Do not send passwords or full card details.

A verified credit-pack refund removes the corresponding credits. If those credits were already spent, the remaining adjustment can be recovered from future purchased credits; it does not reduce your monthly allowance. A verified refund reversal restores the appropriate purchased balance.

Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights for faulty or misdescribed digital content or services, applicable cancellation rights, or other mandatory remedies. These terms alone do not waive any withdrawal right. Any consent required for immediate supply and acknowledgement of its effect must be handled in the relevant purchase process.

We may make reasonable updates or restrict access to address security, abuse, legal requirements or service operation. Where a material change affects paid benefits, we will provide any required notice and choices. Contact support if a restriction or billing result appears wrong.

You can stop using DrinkCipher and request account deletion. Cancel store subscriptions separately and contact us about unused paid credits before deleting the account.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings in an applicable local court remain unaffected.

Relevant store terms also apply. For the Apple app licence, Apple’s standard End User Licence Agreement applies alongside these service terms, subject to mandatory law. We will publish changes here with an updated date and provide additional notice where required.
