Cocktail batch calculator
Turn a single serve into a service-ready batch. Calculate your total volume and how much water to add, with dilution clearly defined.
Dilution is water divided by final volume. Enter 0 for a batch you will dilute later.
Scale each recipe ingredient by 40. Then add the water above. Allow for any additional dilution during service.
How to calculate a cocktail batch
Multiply every ingredient in your single-serve recipe by the number of serves. A 90 ml recipe becomes 3,600 ml for 40 serves. Keep your ingredient ratios unchanged.
Understand your dilution
This calculator treats water as a percentage of the finished drink. At 18% dilution, a 3,600 ml base needs approximately 790.2 ml of water, giving 4,390.2 ml in total. It does not mean adding 18% of the base volume.
Think about service
A pre-diluted batch and a drink that is shaken to order need different treatment. Account for further ice melt, taste the result and adjust your service method before making a large batch.
Take the whole recipe with you
DrinkCipher brings batch calculations alongside your saved recipe, so you can work from ingredient quantities rather than a single total. Keep the same specification from development through preparation.
